Xunfei Healthcare Shines at the 7th China-Arab States Expo, Co-Creating a New Blueprint for Digital Health
From August 28 to 31, the 7th China-Arab States Expo was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia. A key highlight of this year’s event was the health and medical exchange & cooperation program, centered around the theme “Smart Tech for Future Healthcare, Traditional Medicine for the World .” The program was structured around “one main session + three thematic sessions + seven specialized exhibition zones,” showcasing the innovative integration of digital healthcare and traditional medicine. The 7th China-Arab Health Cooperation Development Conference, held on August 29, served as the main session. It brought together representatives from international organizations, national ministries and commissions, medical institutions across Arab League member states, leading industry enterprises, and distinguished scholars. Participants engaged in dialogues and exchanges aimed at advancing the outcomes of the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in 2024, with a focus on leveraging digital intelligence to empower traditional medicine.
Xunfei Healthcare President Tao Xiaodong was invited to the conference, where he delivered a keynote speech titled “Advances in General Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Their Applications in Healthcare.” In his presentation, he provided a systematic overview of large model fundamentals, key technological frontiers, real-world applications, and current industry trends.
Tao emphasized that artificial intelligence has now entered its “fourth wave,” characterized by large models capable of mastering human language and knowledge—heralding a new era of general AI. In healthcare, where precision is critical, the application of AI must remain rooted in medical fundamentals and focus on solving genuine clinical challenges. Since its launch in 2023, the iFLYTEK Spark Medical LLM has continued to advance the technological frontier. Built on a fully domestic computing foundation and strengthened by a self-reinforcing “data flywheel effect,” it has effectively tackled the issue of “knowledge hallucinations” and continues to lead in six core medical capabilities: large-scale medical Q&A, complex language understanding, professional document generation, diagnostic and treatment recommendation, multi-turn dialogue, and multimodal interaction. Its specialized diagnostic and treatment proficiency now matches that of an attending physician in top-tier hospitals. Powered by the iFLYTEK Spark Medical LLM, the iFLYTEK HealthMate App serves as an AI health assistant for the general public, creating personalized digital health profiles for users. It delivers professional, practical, and tailored health services across key scenarios—pre-consultation, during medication, and post-examination. The app has been downloaded over 24 million times, delivered more than 140 million AI consultations, and achieved a 98% user satisfaction rate.
During the Expo, Xunfei Healthcare showcased the iFLYTEK Spark Medical LLM along with a range of AI-powered innovations—such as integrated chronic disease management solutions and intelligent hearing aids—at the Made-in-China Innovation Pavilion. These state-of-the-art applications attracted significant attention from attendees and became a highlight of the exhibition.
AI Empowers the 'Land of Beauty Beyond the Great Wall,' Unfolding a New Chapter in Digital Health
As the country’s first "Internet + Healthcare" demonstration zone and one of the dual-center provinces under China’s "East Data West Computing" project, Ningxia is capitalizing on both policy support and technological innovation to accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation of its healthcare sector. Xunfei Healthcare has played an integral role in developing Ningxia’s smart health ecosystem. Its General Practice CDSS and Intelligent Voice Outbound Call system have been implemented across more than 2,375 primary medical institutions spanning 19 counties and districts. These systems have provided over 320 million diagnostic suggestions, corrected more than 110,000 diagnostic errors, and helped standardize over 42 million electronic medical records (EMRs), increasing EMR compliance rates at the primary level to 95%. The Intelligent Voice Outbound Call system is widely used for chronic disease follow-ups, health education, and patient notifications, serving more than 4.1 million residents and greatly improving the efficiency of public health services at the grassroots level. In addition, solutions such as the Intelligent Follow-up System and the Comprehensive Patient Management Platform have been adopted by leading hospitals including the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University, People’s Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Yinchuan Second People’s Hospital, contributing to higher-quality and more efficient medical care.
As AI becomes the “super brain” empowering grassroots clinicians, and as digital health initiatives evolve from policy blueprints into tangible benefits for communities, Ningxia is demonstrating a compelling model of Chinese-style medical modernization through its “Internet + Health” innovation. Moving forward, Xunfei Healthcare will continue to deepen the integration of AI and healthcare—enabling more professional primary care, easier access to treatment and medication, and more data-informed public health services—so that the dividends of the digital economy translate into better health and wellbeing for all.
