Industry First: Bluey and Other Classic English Animations Launch Exclusively on iFLYTEK AI Learning Machine
Recently, iFLYTEK AI Learning Machine has entered into a strategic partnership with BBC Studios at a signing ceremony held in Guangzhou. Senior executives from both companies attended the signing, including Robi Stanton, President of Asia-Pacific Media & Streaming at BBC Studios, Ding Ke, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Greater China, as well as Zhang Jidong and Wu Junhua, Vice Presidents of iFLYTEK.
Bluey and Other Award-Winning BBC Animations Debut on AI Learning Machine
Under the agreement, iFLYTEK AI Learning Machine will exclusively introduce a lineup of award-winning English-language animations from BBC Studios, including Bluey, Hey Duggee, Yakka Dee, and Kit & Pup. The move marks a first for the industry, integrating premium English animation IPs into an AI-powered learning system and offering families worldwide a more effective and engaging approach to language learning.
Bluey is a recipient of the International Emmy Award for Children's Animation and holds a 9.7 rating on Douban, a leading Chinese review platform. Through authentic pronunciation and everyday life scenarios, the series creates an immersive language environment that helps children acquire English naturally through humor and storytelling. At the same time, its parent–child interactions support the development of emotional intelligence and social skills.
Yakka Dee introduces vocabulary in a clear and upbeat way, encouraging children at the early stages of English learning to speak up with confidence and without fear of making mistakes.
Hey Duggee engages young viewers through fun stories set in the Duggee Club, inspiring curiosity, teamwork, and a spirit of exploration. The series has earned widespread popularity and strong acclaim among families around the world.
Kit & Pup uses playful contrasts drawn from everyday life to sharpen observation skills and logical thinking, helping children develop focused attention and habits of active, independent learning.
AI-Driven Learning: From Watching Animation to Learning English
The partnership goes beyond a simple content introduction. Instead, it leverages iFLYTEK's advanced AI technologies to extend premium animation content into immersive language experiences and interactive learning scenarios.
According to Zhang Jidong, this means children will shift from passive viewers to active participants on the AI Learning Machine. Through features such as guided repetition, character voice acting, and situational dialogues, learners can engage directly with world-class animated stories while naturally developing accurate pronunciation and authentic language use—truly learning through interest and growing through play.
As the provider of speech assessment technology for China's national English listening and speaking examinations, iFLYTEK brings extensive experience in language learning. Its technologies have been fully and reliably integrated into the AI learning machine's comprehensive skill framework, covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Zhang Jidong added that the introduction of top-tier content into the listening and speaking modules through this partnership represents a critical piece in building a well-rounded English learning system—one designed to develop learners'overall language competence in a balanced and systematic way.
Wu Junhua also noted that combining world-class content with leading AI technology can create a multiplier effect in language learning. He said the partnership, which brings BBC's classic animations to the platform, reflects this belief in practice. By applying AI, iFLYTEK can transform these vivid stories into interactive, adaptive, and feedback-driven learning journeys—allowing each child to learn English at their own pace and in their own way, and ultimately build lasting language proficiency.
Robi Stanton expressed strong enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that it marks BBC Studios'first in-depth partnership with a Chinese company in the field of AI-driven educational content."This partnership gives our classic IPs the opportunity to take on new educational value," she said. "Through iFLYTEK AI Learning Machine, along with its broad user base and advanced AI ecosystem, we're able to bring these stories to children in more meaningful and engaging ways."
She added that BBC Studios looks forward to expanding the collaboration further, including the introduction of original English-language documentaries and other premium content to support learners at more advanced stages. "We truly believe that combining world-class content with AI technology can create a more engaging and effective way for children to learn English," she said.
Ding Ke noted that language learning is most effective when learners are immersed in an authentic language environment. She explained that high-quality English animation helps children associate unfamiliar vocabulary with concrete meaning through visuals, expressions, and actions. By situating language learning within vivid stories and real-life contexts, children are able to acquire English in a natural way—similar to the process of first-language acquisition.
The collaboration represents a two-way convergence of content and technology, opening a new chapter in early English education. All co-developed content is expected to launch on iFLYTEK AI Learning Machine in 2026. Through programs such as Bluey, children will be guided into a natural, engaging, and effective English learning journey from the very beginning.
