U.N. Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) Chairman Praises iFLYTEK Technologies During Tour of Corporate Headquarters

iFLYTEK hosted a delegation led by U.N. Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) Chairman Peter Major to its Hefei headquarters. Li Yuhang, Chair of the Digital Security Alliance and Regional Chair of Cloud Security Alliance in Greater China, also attended. The delegation engaged with the latest iFLYTEK research and applications and met with iFLYTEK President Wu Xiaoru to discuss empowering industries with large cognitive models.

iFLYTEK showed the delegation the company's latest technology and its various applications in education, medical care, business, manufacturing, urban planning, and automobiles.

"I'm completely surprised that such a high level of technology is being used!" Chairman Major said after learning that the iFLYTEK Smart Translator can accurately translate 84 languages and observing the device's natural text-to-voice function.

At the Smart Education Exhibit, iFLYTEK described to the U.N. CSTD Chairman and his delegation how the company's smart solutions could aid teachers and students by reducing burdens and providing custom-tailored education to students.

While touring the Smart Medical Care Exhibit, the delegation also learned about how iFLYTEK's Smart Medical Assistants assist front-line doctors in diagnosing and treating patients and personal health consultants in aiding individuals through a post-recovery rehabilitation management platform.

The U.N. CSTD Chairman expressed his amazement at the utility of iFLYTEK's smart solutions in alleviating resource imbalances in education and health care. Major's entourage also expressed interest in the technologies' use abroad.

After visiting the exhibition, Chairman Major and the delegation met with iFLYTEK President Wu Xiaoru to discuss current trends in the global technology ecosystem and other topics related to large models. Wu reiterated iFLYTEK's goal to make machines "listen, understand, and think" and added that large models can play a significant role in furthering scientific and technological gains. The meeting also discussed other topics, including cybersecurity and application in smart urban management.

Chairman Major thanked iFLYTEK for hosting him and his delegation at iFLYTEK's headquarters. He stated that he looks forward to meeting with the iFLYTEK team again in the near future.
